Dear Members and Friends,
We have had a busy couple of months leading up to the AGM (23 March 2011). We started off the year with the very well-received “Economic and Stock Market Outlook for 2011” event in January and to date, have organized talks on health and property investment, participated in the “Study in Australia” Education Fair as well as the Distinguished Australian Alumni Networking Night organised by the Australian trade Commission.
In the coming year, we hope to bring you more exciting networking opportunities and informative events with great speakers. A trade mission trip will take interested parties to Beijing and Tianjin, China in May. This will be a brilliant networking opportunity and should not be missed. We will also be organising another Big Walk in September and hope to better 2009’s record of garnering 800 alumni and friends who participated in the Southern Ridges Canopy walk. We count on you again for your kind support!
We wholeheartedly welcome institution and individual members who have recently joined AAS, and hope to welcome many more in the near future. We are collaborating with Contact Singapore to link Singapore students studying in Australian Universities to prospective employers back home through holiday job placements and job fairs. Please keep in contact, provide feedback and watch out for news updates on our webpage, facebook and twitter at www.aas.org.sg.
We hope to enjoy your continued presence and support for the AAS and look forward to seeing you at our coming events.
Best Wishes,
Loh Hoon Sun
President
